Orange police released these recent arrest reports.

 ON MAY 31, at 6:15 p.m. officers served a warrant against Kenneth Nichols, 29, of 423 Wildwood Drive, at his home.

The warrant stemmed from an incident on April 21 when police arrested Nichols regarding the theft of items from locked cars.

According to the report, officers found the stolen items in a car that was parked in the Sam’s Club parking lot while in Nichols’ possession.

Nichols was charged with sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in court June 13.

A NEW HAVEN man was arrested during a DUI Enforcement Checkpoint on Route 34, May 27 at 11:08 p.m.

According to police, Deleon Moore, 29, of 116B Olive St., New Haven, was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and some smoking materials when his car was pulled over.

Moore was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI),  possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond was $50 for court June 6.

 

OFFICERS WERE dispatched to Spring Street on a complaint of a loud party at a private residence May 27 at 11:40 p.m.

Responding officers reportedly found numerous underage people on site where alcohol was being served. They also found marijuana smoking materials, according to the report.

Police said Connor Shortell, 19, of 399 Dogburn Lane, who was hosting the party, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, allowing minors to possess alcohol, and violation of a town ordinance regarding hosting parties.

He was released on a promise to appear in court June 6.

Officers arranged for the underage partygoers to obtain rides home.
