Tis the season to arrest shoplifters

 

The released the following arrest reports this week.

Officers were dispatched to , 25 Boston Post Road, on a report of a shoplifter in custody on Dec. 16 at 5:31 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Katina Kitchens, 25, of 322 Newhall St., New Haven, had selected $197.87 worth of clothing from the shelves, then left the store without attempting to pay.

Store security agents stopped her and detained her for police.

Kitchens was charged with sixth-degree larceny and held on $500 bond for court Dec. 19.


A West Haven woman turned herself in at on Dec. 12 at 2:26 p.m. after being informed that she was wanted on an arrest warrant.

According to police, the warrant stemmed from a traffic stop in September 2011, which resulted in a court appearance that she for which she failed to appear.

Kristy Wininger, 29, of 39 Fourth Ave., 1st floor, West Haven was charged with second-degree failure to appear in court.

She was released after posting $750 bond, for court Dec. 30.
