Police Arrest Alleged Tire Thief

The alleged culprit had been caught before, say reports.

 

Police say a man who had been warned about stealing tires came back and kept up his crime anyway -- and was caught in the act once again.

While conducting routine patrol at around 7:17 p.m. on November 15, Orange police officers came across a man allegedly taking used tires from a storage area behind Town Fair Tire. The man was Robert Moretti, 48, of Milford, according to reports.

Police later learned Moretti had been caught doing the same thing in the past and had been warned not to come back to Town Fair Tire, according to reports. He wa charged with 6th-degree Criminal Larceny and 3rd-degree Criminal Trespass, and released after posting $1000 bond.
