Orange Police Make Arrest at Burlington Coat Factory
The suspect reportedly attempts to leave the store without paying for merchandise.
Orange police arrested a Hartford man at 12:37 p.m. on May 17 on a charge of sixth-degree larceny following a reported theft from the at 80 Boston Post Road.
The man, who police identified as George Lawson, 47, reportedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $60.94 worth of merchandise. He was stopped outside by store security personnel and held until police arrived.
Lawson's bond was set at $500 and he was scheduled to appear in court on May 18.

Soliciting Magazine Sales Without a Permit
A 26-year-old Virginia man was issued a mail-in infraction on May 12 for allegedly attempting to sell magazines to a Lambert Road resident without a permit.

Orange police responded to the house at about 9 p.m. after receiving a call about a dispute taking place between the suspect, who police identified as Salsibil White, and the homeowner. Investigation revealed White had not obtained a permit to solicit magaine sales, as is required by Town Ordinance, police said.
