Orange Police Make 36 'Criminal Arrests' in April

The department received more than 2,300 calls last month.

The Orange Police Department responded to more than 2,300 calls for service during the month of April, according to a monthly report from Police Chief Robert Gagne.

The department made 36 “criminal arrests,” five arrests for driving while intoxicated and 23 for shoplifting/larcenies, the report said.

Last month Orange police responded to one robbery and two burglaries (one residential, one commercial).

Other statistics included in the report:

  • 108 activated burglar alarms
  • 12 fights/disturbances
  • 70 traffic accidents
  • 166 motor vehicle citations issued
  • 113 medical emergencies
