Orange Police Blotter: Oct. 27-29

Oct. 27

David Irving, 25, of 65 Lydia Street, West Haven, was charged at 7:37 p.m. with sixth-degree larceny, second-degree criminal trover and possession of a shoplifting device.

Officers responded to Best Buy regarding a shoplifter. Officers learned that the arrestee had selected a computer accessory valued at $39.99 from the shelves, opened the packing with a razor blade to remove the item, then attempted to leave the store without paying. He was stopped by store security agents and detained for police.

Onexis Filomeno, 21, of 892 Congress Ave, New Haven was charged at 4:59 p.m. with sixth-degree larceny.

Police Report:

Officers responded to Target regarding a shoplifter. Officers learned that the arrestee had selected wireless speakers and iPhone cases valued at a total of $79.98 from the shelves then left the store without paying. He was stopped by store security agents and detained for police.
