Orange Police Blotter: Nov. 1-5

Nov. 1  

Mark Shields, 24, of 330 Short Beach Rd D2, East Haven, was charged at 12:25 a.m. with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Officers responded to a disturbance at the Orange Ale House. Officers learned that the arrestee had struck another patron of the restaurant who was seen talking to the arrestee’s girlfriend. The arrestee was gone upon arrival, but he eventually returned to police headquarters to be taken into custody and charged.

Samantha Dankulich, 22, of 74 Lenox Ave, Milford, was charged at 4:49 p.m. with possession of marijuana.

Police Report:

Officers responded to the AC Moore store regarding a drug violation. Officers learned that store management had discovered an employee in possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana. Officers seized the drugs and issued an infraction ticket to the employee for her actions. 

Nov. 5        

Travis Stevens, 39, 14 Howard Ave, New Haven, was charged at 12:52 a.m. with second-degree forgery, drinking while driving, traveling too fast, failure to maintain proper lane position and driving a motor vehicle while under suspension.

Police Report: 

Officers conducting routine patrol observed a vehicle operating erratically, and traveling at 52 mph in a 40 mph zone. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers also observed an open container of beer in the front seat area. Officers further found the driver to be in possession of a fake Connecticut driver’s license, which was seized. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged.
