Orange Police Blotter: Larceny Charge, Fight at Restaurant

The latest arrests and incidents from the Orange Police Department.


A Derby man was charged with sixth-degree larceny and littering at about 3 a.m. on June 10 while Orange Police were investigating a car theft on Wheeler's Farm Road.

Josey Munko, 20, was reportedly observed walking in the area where the theft occurred. Officers observed him carrying a handful of envelopes which he attempted to discard at the side of the road when officers approached, according to police.

Officers learned that Munko had been in the area with his twin brother, when the brother allgedly decided to steal a car from a private residence. Munko elected not to participate in the car theft, police said, but he did remove the mail from a couple of nearby mailboxes and had opened some of it when officers first observed him.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on June 25.

Hibachi Grill Employees Brawl

Two employees of Hibachi Grill reportedly got in a fight at the Boston Post Road restaurant at 6:14 p.m. on June 10 and were subsequently charged with creating a public disturbance.

Orange Police said Run Lu, 23, of Brooklyn, NY, and Xiaoqiang Jiang, 24, also of Brooklyn, NY, had been arguing inside the restaurant and caused a disturbance. They were both issued infraction tickets for their alleged actions.
