Lawrence Cooper, 51, of 251 Currier Dr, Orange, was charged at 9 p.m. with evading responsibility for a motor vehicle accident.
Police Report:
The arrestee surrendered himself at police headquarters after learning of a warrant for his arrest. The warrant stemmed from an incident on November 29, 2013, when the arrestee struck a fence on the property of 240 Indian River Road with his vehicle, and drove off without contacting the property owner or police. A witness observed the incident and contacted officers, and the officers’ investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant.
Dennis Draeger, 21, of 204 New Haven Ave, Derby, was charged at 4:11 p.m. with using a motor vehicle without permission of owner and driving a motor vehicle without a driver's license.

Officers responded to a private residence on Hitching Post Drive in regard to the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Officers learned that the arrestee had come to the home of a relative and took a car from the driveway without asking. He later returned the vehicle, and attempted to return to his own residence, but police located him nearby, where he was taken into custody and charged.
