Orange Dems To Reveal Full Slate At Caucus

The Orange Democratic Town Committee (DTC) is holding off on announcing their full slate of candidates for the November municipal elections until their caucus July 22 at 8 p.m. in the Senior Cafeteria of the High Plains Community Center.

The caucus will be preceded by the DTC’s annual meeting at 7 p.m., where new committee members and officers will be nominated.

The committee intends on announcing a full slate for all 22 positions up in November, “running the gambit from First Selectman to Constable,” DTC Chairman Trish Pearson said Tuesday.

The Democratic ticket will be led by First Selectman candidate and Orange attorney Ken Lenz, who has already hit the campaign trail.

“He’s determined to hit every home on every street,” Pearson said, noting that Orange elections — like all local politics — are about meeting the constituents one-on-one.
