Orange Cops: Shelton Mother Left 3-Year-Old in Parked Car While Shopping

A Shelton parent becomes the latest person to leave their child in a hot parked car while shopping.

Orange police say Nathalie Stonier left her 3-year-old inside a parked car Thursday at 11 a.m. while she went inside to shop at the Trader Joe's store at 550 Boston Post Road, WFSB 3 television reports.
Someone saw Stonier leave the child unattended and called police. The child was not injured, WFSB 3 reports. The mother was charged with risk of injury to a minor.
Stonier, 36, is from Shelton, WTNH News 8 reports. The child was released to the custody of the father, WTNH reports.
A Groton father earlier this week blamed texting as the reason why he forgot and left his six-month-old in a 130-degree car while he went inside to shop.
