A dispute between two employees led to the arrest of a Stormville, NY, man on charges of disorderly conduct and threaterning.
said the arrest stems from a May 18 report of a dispute at Colony Hardware, where two men employed by a subcontractor working on site allegedly got in a fight about tools being used on the job.
At one point, police said, Charles Faranda, 45, threatened the other man. He was arrested on the above charges and released on a promise to appear in court on June 1.
A New Haven man was arrested on a charge of DUI after an officer reportedly observed his vehicle swerving on Route 1 in Orange.
Upon pulling the vehicle over at 2:04 a.m. on May 19 police conducted a field sobriety test. In addition to DUI, Luis Cortes, 21, was charged with failure to drive right and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Cortes was released after posting a $50 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 4.
Evading Responsibility Charge
Charles Park, 21, of Orange, was arrested at 4:15 p.m. on May 22 on a charge of evading responsibility of a motor vehicle accident.
According to police, the arrest stems from a one-car accident in which a vehicle driven by Park failed to properly negotiate a bend on Dogwood Road, skidded off the street and knocked over a road sign. Witnesses observed Park exit the vehicle, survey the damage and leave the area, police said. Officers found him a short time later, and he was taken into custody and charged.
Park was released after posting a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 5.
