Home Burglaries Reported

Residents asked to be hyper vigilant about neighborhood activities.

Orange police said two homes were burglarized during the day this week.

On Friday, Feb. 3, at about 3:25 p.m. a resident of Englewood Drive returned home and found their house had been burglarized sometime during the day.

According to police, entry was gained by breaking a rear window. Once inside unknown suspect(s) took jewelry from the home.

A neighborhood canvass did not locate anyone that observed anything or anyone suspicious.

Also, on Wednesday, Feb. 1, a resident of Wildwood Drive returned home at about 5:33 p.m. and found their house had been burglarized sometime during the day.

A rear window was broken and allowed entry into the home, and the unknown suspect(s) stole jewelry from this residence also.

Residents are reminded to be alert and vigilant in observing their neighborhoods for anything out of the ordinary.

Asst. Chief Edward Koether said, "If you see vehicles or persons you think are acting out of the norm or hear an alarm sounding contact police at (203)-891-2130."
