High School Student Admitted to Hospital, Arrested

The following information was released by the Woodbridge Police Department which covers Amity High School.

Apr. 13 at Amity Regional High School a male student was called down to the office around noon after numerous complaints about his physical condition and concerns about potential drug use.

Once in the office, he became increasingly agitated and aggressive, yelling gibberish and clenching his fists. The police were called, as well as an ambulance.

The student was brought to the hospital where he was admitted, and police arrested him there at 4:13 p.m. and charged him with interfering with a police officer and disorderly conduct.

He was released on a promise to appear and given a court date of Apr. 26.
