Hamden Woman is Newest Orange Police Officer

Carolyn Bailey comes from a family with a background in law enforcement.

Law enforcement is like the family business for Orange's newest police officer, Carolyn Bailey.

The Hamden native's father, Joseph Liguori, is a retired Inspector Sergeant from the Department of Motor Vehicles, her brother, Joseph Liguori, is an officer with the Hamden Police Department, and her husband, Eric Bailey, is an officer with the Yale University Police Department.

Bailey, a Hamden High School graduate who earned a bachelor's degree in English from Southern Connecticut State University in 2005, was sworn in as an officer with the Orange Police Department on Tuesday. She graduated from the Connecticut Police Academy a day earlier.
