Hamden Woman Arrested in Sam's Club Theft

A police investigation into an employee theft complaint in December led to the arrest of a Hamden woman this week.

Police were called to Sam’s Club, 2 Boston Post Rd., on a theft complaint in December 2010. According to the report, shortages were discovered from deposits made on behalf of Sam’s Club indicating employee involvement.

Off. Michael Morrin worked with Sam’s Club regional asset protection, reviewed internal security footage, and identified an employee as the suspect.

An audit determined over $11,000 was missing.

Officer Morrin’s investigation established sufficient information to obtain an arrest warrant for Dannielle Blagmon, 34, of 422 Mix Ave. Hamden, who turned herself in at police headquarters on Feb. 23.

Blagmon was charged with second-degree larceny and released. She is to be in court March 7.
