Police were summoned to Amity High School on a report of an altercation, Tuesday, Feb. 22.
According to the report, Daniel Stearne, 18, of Amity Road in Bethany, along with a 16-year old male student from Orange, were involved in a fist fight.
According to a witness, Stearne allegedly was the aggressor and provoked the other student into a fight with the standard progression of name calling to shoving to fighting.

Stearne was charged with breach of peace and given a court date of Mar. 8; the 16-year old was charged with disorderly conduct and given the same court date.
Both were released to the custody of their parents.
