DUI Arrest Made in Wee Hours on Route 1
Orange Police arrested a 23-year-old West Haven woman.
At nearly 3 a.m. on July 5, a patrol officer reportedly observed a vehicle driving erratically on Route 1 in town.
The officer stopped the vehicle on Indian River Road and the driver, Amy Benedict, 23, of West Haven, was asked to take a field sobriety test.
She was then arrested, police said, and charged with DUI and failure to maintain the proper lane.

Benedict was released after posting a $50 bond. She is due in court on July 19.
