CT Special Olympic Torch Comes Through Town

The Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run took place along the Boston Post Road today.

About a dozen Orange police officers (and friends) took part in the Law Enforcement Special Olympic Torch Run Friday afternoon.

With balmy 80-degree weather promising to make them sweat, the officers and high school students waited at the Orange Town Line for the Milford Police to hand off the Special Olympic Torch on its way to New Haven for the Special Olympic games.

The humidity couldn't dampen their spirits as the same dedicated officers and a few new faces made their way up the Boston Post Road following police motorcycle and cruiser escorts.
