Criminal Arrests Nearly Double in Orange
Monthly statistics for March show certain incidents increased along with call volume. Here's the breakdown by the numbers.
Criminal arrests jumped from 17 in February to 31 in March, according to the latest statistics provided by the Orange Police Department.
The month-over-month increase mirrors the overall call volume, too. There were nearly 300 more calls for service in March compared to February. Meanwhile, the number of fights and disturbances and DUIs also rose from the previous month.

- 117 — activated burglar alarms
- 31 — criminal arrests
- 20 — shoplifting/larcenies
- 20 — fights/disturbances
- 8 — arrests for DWIs
- 90 — traffic accidents
- 173 — motor vehicle citations
- 123 — medical emergencies
