Cracking Down on Drunk Driving Earns Orange Officers Honors

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) presents two Orange Police officers with certificates.

 

Two Orange Police officers were recognized today for their work enforcing drunk driving laws and efforts to curb alcohol related crashes.

Officer Jeffrey Platek and Officer Michael Luzzi received certificates recognizing their commitment and contributions to eliminate drunk driving.

The recognition came during the Connecticut Mothers Against Drunk Driving 26th annual Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven. The Keynote speaker this year was Edmund H. Hedge Jr., the Law Enforcement Liaison, Office of Highway Safety, Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The ceremony is held each year to honor officers and troopers across the state for their efforts toward prevention of alcohol related crashes and enforcement of drunk driving laws.
