Cops: Heroin, Ecstasy Found in Parking Lot Drug Sales Bust

Orange Police arrested two in a lot off the Boston Post Road Wednesday evening, according to reports.

 

Orange Police say an investigation into narcotics sales has led to the arrest of two individuals in a parking lot off the Boston Post Road, near the Orange / West Haven line.

Police charged Ashmore Johnson, 45, of New Haven, and Rodney Jones, 46, of Bridgeport, with a variety of drug offenses after the operation allegedly turned up 44 ecstasy capsules, one-half gram of heroin and six packages of synthetic marijuana.

Orange police conducted the operation alongside the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Taskforce - South Central Division. Johnson and Jones were arrested Wednesday at about 6:30 p.m.

Johnson and Jones were both charged with Possession of a Hallucinogenic Substance, Possession of a Hallucinogenic Substance with Intent to Sell and Possession of a Cannabis-Type Substance. Additionally, Johnson was charged with Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell.

Jones was released after posting $10,000 bond, while Johnson is being held on $250,000 bond.
