Cops Confiscate 10 Guns from Convicted Felon

Police say the weapons were found during an investigation into a report that the man allegedly violated a no-contact protective order.

A 58-year-old Orange man was arrested at a local store on Nov. 21 and charged with 10 counts of criminal possession of a firearm and violation of a restraining order.

According to a report just released by police, the man, who they identified as Anthony Urbano of 206A Boston Post Road, had 10 firearms at his residence. Urbano is a convicted felon, police said, and it is against the law for a convicted felon to possess a firearm.

The firearms were confiscated after Urbano was arrested at 4:30 p.m. that day, police said.

According to the report, officers learned that Urbano had called the complainant and left a message, which was in direct violation of the court order. Officers located him at a local store and took him into custody.

Urbano was released after posting $25,000 bond and was due in court on Nov. 23.
