The latest report from the Orange Police Department.

A Waterbury man tried to make off with $50 worth of clothing at Kohl's, but got in even more trouble for something he already had in his backpack, according to the latest report from the Orange Police Department. The arrest came at 4:42 p.m. on September 6.

According to police, Kohl's employees stopped 32-year-old Francisco Romero of Waterbury after he had taken the merchandise out of the store on 250 Bull Hill Lane. Police say when they arrived, they found even more problem items: drug paraphernalia stashed in his backpack. Romero was arrested and charged with 6th-degree Larceny and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
