Come to Safety Day at Home Depot

Every year the town's first responders and Home Depot partner up for Safety Day.

It's autumn, so that means it's time for Safety Day at Home Depot, 440 Boston Post Road, this Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Home Depot is offering a free How To Workshop for children ages 5-12, teaching children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, and helping to instill a sense of accomplishment.

Each participating child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin.

Meanwhile outside, near the entrance doors, the Orange Volunteer Fire Department will have firefighters on hand with a truck and plenty of safety advice for children and adults.

A member of the Orange Fire Marshal's office also will be on hand, offering general safety advice.
