CERT joins search for missing girl (with Update)

At 3:40 p.m. the Community Emergency Response Team was activated to help in the search for the missing 13 year old in Orange.

Rescuers are staging at Temple Emanuel off of Derby Avenue before heading back off into the woods in search of 13-year-old Isabella.

The girl has been missing since early this morning and searchers have been scouring the streets and woods for any sign of her.

Police and Firefighters from Orange and West Haven, state police with search dogs and now the CERT are working to find the girl before dark.

If you know of her whereabouts or think you saw her earlier, in a store, on the street or in a restaurant, please call the police at 203-891-2130.

Update: A source says Isabella Loves Horses. So if you have a barn or meadow with horses, please check it for any sign of this youg lady before it gets too cold out.

Editor's Note: Bella, if you are hiding, and are worried about getting into trouble, believe me, it's best to call your parents now. I did this when I was your age, and no matter what, everything is going to be ok. Just come home.

Besides not having a state mentioned, I went to "Google" the young girl's name so that I could FIND OUT where this has taken place and the little girl's LAST NAME ISN'T EVEN MENTIONED. While I appreciate you helping to get the word out ... PLEASE remember to include: WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY (when applicable). I had to "Google" the telephone number to get the state to where this happened! Most of the time people are just going to delete this type of 'journalism' or not pay attention to it. Because this is my profession - search and recovery, I took the extra step to look. Maybe this is a good thing because Isabella Whatever-Her-Name-Is isn't all that far from where I am ... Maybe I could help. Probably a good idea I took the time to check out WHERE this happened ... Now I need to find out more info. - WHO this is and the circumstances regarding her going missing.

If you are reading this story then surely you have access to all the other stories that came before it. this one is simply updated information for all the people in my local area who have been following it all day long. I do not need journalism 101 lessons, but thank you so very much for your input. we're just trying to find this little girl out here in the cold.

No, I did NOT have access to the other stories. This came to me as a "Google Alert" with this ONE link which I clicked on. It brought up this one article/story. It wasn't until later on when I was trying to get more info. that I starting finding more on this. As a lot of search and rescue people all-over-the-country get these search and rescue Google Alerts, they too, would get the info. as I did - a generic: search for missing girl "Police and Firefighters from Orange and West Haven, state police with search dogs and now the CERT are working to find the girl before dark. If you know of her whereabouts or think you saw her earlier, in a store, on the street or in a restaurant, ..." I apologize for my tone but there is a chance that I could get some help there and I *almost* didn't take the effort to track down more information. This case might be doable for a team that is going to Maryland and then make a trip to Connecticut. I do sincerely thank you for your work - there is NEVER enough publicity out these for the missing.

It's ok, these are stressful times for everyone. it's getting really cold. IF they do a shout out for help I will post it here immediately. I appreciate everyone's concern as I am sure the family feels the same. Let's all just pray she finds her way home soon.

My husband and I live minutes away from this area and know people who know her. Please if they release any need for volunteers to post. I just read she likes horses...do you know of Field View Farm was searched? They have acres upon acres and its so close to her home.
