Amity High Student Charged with Assault

Woodbridge Police say the teen kicked another student in the head.



A 15-year-old Amity High student was arrested in relation to a fight that reportedly took place at the school on March 11.

According to a report released March 27 by Woodbridge Police, the unidentified student was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Police were called to the school at 8:20 a.m. that day on a report of a fight that had occurred between two students. "A verbal dispute between two students escalated to a fight in which one of the students was kicked in the head," the report states.

The teen was scheduled to appear in New Haven Juvenile Court on March 20.
