A report of a vehicle driving erratically on Fox Den Way in Woodbridge resulted in the arrest of an Orange man on charges of DUI and possession of narcotics.
According to Woodbridge Police, the man, Joseph A. Chipello, 57, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 4. His vehicle was suspiciously parked in the driveway of a private residence, police said.
Chipello reportedly smelled of liquor and appeared to be intoxicated, according to police. He refused to participate in any sobriety testing. While being taken into custody, police said, Chipello was found to be in possession of cocaine.
He was released after posting a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on Feb. 15.
