20-Year-Old Ticketed For Role In Bus Stop Crash

This is a follow up to a story we first posted April 27 at 4:45 a.m.

 

The CT Transit bus stop that used to stand in front of Starbucks on the Boston Post Road has been down since Friday, April 27 at 12:13 a.m., and now, police have released some information about the crash that took it down.

Police said Talmadge Vick, 20, of New Haven, was driving a Jeep SUV westbound on Route 1 when he pulled past a Chrysler and then pulled in front of it, clipping the front quarter panel and sending it across the opposite travel lanes, over the curb and into the glass and metal bus stop.

Vick was issued a ticket for Improper Passing with a fine of $127.

The occupants of the Chrystler reportedly were "sore but did not require medical treatment."
