Obituary: Ralph Charles Russo, 93, WWII Veteran, Knight of Columbus

Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 p.m.

Ralph Charles Russo, 93, passed away peacefully Monday, May 14, 2012 at CT Hospice.

He was the widow of Mary Theresa Ferrara Russo, to whom he was married for sixty-seven years.

Ralph was the father of three loving children, Marie Russo of Orange, Robert Russo and and daugher-in-law Carol Russo of Tarrytown, N.Y., and Nancy Arminio and son-in-law Mark Arminio of West Haven.

He was blessed with one special grandson, Christopher Arminio.

He is survived by two sisters, Rose Paturzo and Tina Torino and a brother, Salvatore Russo. He was predeceased by a sister, Florence Mauro and a brother, Pasquale Russo.

He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Ralph was born in New Haven on February 15, 1919, son of the late Salvatore and Josephine Criscio Russo.

Ralph was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2541.

He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a communicant of St. Paul's Church for most of his life.

Ralph's family would like to thank the Staff at CT Hospice and Whitney Manor for the comfort and peace they bestowed upon Ralph.

Family and friends may call at the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Road, West Haven THURSDAY from 5 - 8 p.m.

Services and Interment will be private.
