Obituary: Dorothea Clark, 87

Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; active Orange resident.

Dorothea Louise Dickson Clark, age 87, of Orange, beloved wife of the late Benjamin T. Clark III, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in the Hospital of St. Raphael’s in New Haven.

She was born on December 20, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ. Before retiring, she was employed in the Assessor’s Office in the Orange Town Hall. Dorothea was a member of the Orange Congregational Church, a volunteer for the Orange Fair, and a former member of the Orange Bowling League.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her devoted children Paul Clark and his wife Paula, and Janis Rieley and her husband Mike, brothers Gilbert and William Dickson, brother-in-law Donald Clark, grandchildren Dawn Jenci, Christopher Rieley, Kimberly Clark, Nicole Clark, Brett Rieley, Craig Clark and great granddaughter Stella Jenci.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Orange Congregational Church on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 1pm. Interment will be private. Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Orange Congregational Church, 205 Meeting House Lane, Orange, CT.
