Tell Us: What Motivates You to Push Yourself?

We want to know what inspires people to do all the great things they do. Sponsored by Grape Nuts.

Motivation is defined as “the act of giving somebody a reason or incentive to do something.”

It is having - or discovering - the enthusiasm to get up and accomplish a goal, like finish your homework or train for a half marathon.

For some people, all it takes to get motivated is an upbeat tune pumped through a pair of earbuds, or a bit of urging from a spouse or family member. For others it takes the spirit of competition to drive their enthusiasm, or the idea of being the first to do something.

Powered by Grape-Nuts cereal and the desire to be first, Sir Edmund Hillary made history in 1953 as one of the first men to conquer the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest. In the spirit of such accomplishment, the iconic cereal brand, along with Patch, introduces “What’s Your Mountain,” to help power your goals.

We want to hear your ideas about what fuels you to push yourself: Is it a hearty breakfast, a note of encouragement from your little one, or a challenge from a friend?

While you’re at it, tell us how you motivate others!

About this sponsorship: Patch has teamed up with Grape-Nuts cereal on this "What’s Your Mountain” campaign to find inspirational stories in our towns and celebrate folks who have affected positive change in their lives and communities.
