The Jamie A. Hulley Arts Foundation has previously provided a grant so that a visiting conductor such as Cheung Chau of the University of Connecticut School of Music could come and present a master class. This resulted in a collaborative concert with Amity High School students and the University of Connecticut music students sharing the same stage at the Von der Mehden Recital Hall on the UCONN campus November 2011. The Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation has given a grant to the Amity High School Music students so that The Hartford Symphony's "A Piacere String Quartet," can perform/answer questions on March 27th, 2013.
