If for some reason you're not impressed by the close to 300 craft beers that will be available to sample at Jesse Camille's Restaurant this weekend, then maybe the beneficiary of the annual beer fest will excite you.

The festival, which will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 18, will raise money for the Camille B. Perugini Memorial Trust, which has awarded more than $166,000 to 124 area high school students since 1998.

Perugini died in her mid-20s in 1997 from an undiagnosed medical condition.

The beer fest, known officially as the 19th Annual CT Craft Brewers' Fest, is $30 per person in advance and $35 at the gate.

The ticket includes opportunities to sample close to 300 varieties of beer from more than 50 brewers, including many from Connecticut.

The event is sponsored by Jesse Camille's Restaurant and Mountview Wines & Liquors in Naugatuck.

Designated drivers get in free. State law prohibits minors from attending. All net proceeds go to the scholarship fund.

The event, which dubs itself as Connecticut's largest and longest continuously held beer tasting event, will be held under the Biergarten Tents at Jesse Camille's, 615 N. Church St. in Naugatuck.

Editor's note: In the photo above are Camille Perugini's nieces and nephew, Michael, 15, Jesse, 18, and Samantha, 9. They are the daughters of Jesse Camille's owners Larry Erickson and Carla M. Perugini-Erickson.
