Connecticut POPS! will be holding an open rehearsal for prospective new members on January 29th and February 5th. The band has been organized by a group of local musicians who range from amateurs to professionals,
and will be in residence at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury. They will have the use of their auditorium, equipment, and music library for rehearsals and performances. The group will be under the direction of Dr. Richard Gard of Yale University School of Music and Music Director at NVCC. They will be playing a traditional
pops repertoire that has appeal to a wide range of audiences and will perform winter and spring concerts at NVCC as well as at Waterbury’s Palace Theatre in May. Connecticut POPS! is unique in that it is open to adult community members with intermediate to advanced playing ability as well as college and high school students who wish to register through the college for credit. The
open rehearsal for prospective new members will take place on Tuesday, January 29th and February 5th from 7:15-9:15 in the Mainstage Theatre at Naugatuck Valley Community College on Chase Parkway in Waterbury. Please contact the manager before coming for
