New England Ballet will host the national summer program auditions for Burklyn Ballet Theatre on Saturday, January 5th at 2:00 p.m. Burklyn Ballet Theatre is an intense summer program for pre-professional ballet dancers and is held on the campus of Johnson State College, a small college in the mountains of Vermont. The program offers dancers three classes and two or more hours of rehearsals daily. All dancers perform in the 600 seat Dibden Center for the Arts each Saturday evening. The performances, which are fully produced and costumed, offer classical and contemporary ballets as well as new and innovative modern works. Dancers can attend for 2, 3, 4, or 6 week sessions. Scholarships are available. The audition is for ages 10 and up and will take the form of a two hour intermediate/advanced class. Dancers do not need to pre-register for the auditions but should arrive at New England Ballet studios, 200 Boston Post Road, Orange, CT one half hour prior to audition time. There is a $25 fee for the audition class. For additional information, call Burklyn
Ballet Theatre at 877-BURKLYN (877-287-5596).

They should also be tested for other genetic disorders, such as Wilson's disease, which causes theRead More liver to store copper, eventually leading to acute liver failure. Unfortunately, the person who has it doesn't usually know until they are in liver failure. This disease killed my friend's daughter at the age of 6 - and they never knew until it was too late. My personal feeling is if there is a way to non-invasively test for these types of illnesses - no matter how rare - it should be done.
