"A Tasting... Vines and Steins”: Wine Tasting at Milford Yacht Club

Lauralton Hall Hosts Wine Tasting at Milford Yacht Club Featuring Celebrity Chef Neil Fuentes

Lauralton Hall is excited to announce “A Tasting... Vines and Steins”, a unique wine tasting that will feature celebrity chef, Neil Fuentes.  Join us by the water for an evening of fellowship, fine wines and ales, artisan cheese and gourmet food, all while supporting a worthy cause— funds for scholarships and the educational needs of students of Lauralton Hall!  “A Tasting... Vines and Steins” will be held on Friday, November 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the Milford Yacht Club, 131 Trumbull Ave., Milford.

Learn about wines and boutique beers from experts in the field—the nuances of flavors that go into each wine or lager, and even the wine/ale-making processes. An affineur from Milford’s Villa Gourmet will be on hand to offer cheese pairing advice for wine and ale.  And while you’re sipping your chardonnay, pick up culinary tips from the “The Sensational Singing Chef”, Neil Fuentes.

In addition to cooking demonstrations, Celebrity chef Neil Fuentes will entertain guests throughout evening with his singing and dancing talents. Known for his appearances on WTNH TV show Connecticut Style, Neil is also the lead vocalist for Sonido Libre, a Latin infused performance ensemble currently on tour.

The evening will feature a phenomenal raffle and silent auction and each attendee will leave with a commemorative gift!  Raffle prizes include the “Trustees Cellar Basket” comprised of fine wines donated by Lauralton Hall board members, valued at over $700; a “Domestic Beer Basket” of unusual beers from across the U.S., and an “International Brew Basket” filled with beers from Russia, Kenya, El Salvador and Austria.  The Silent auction includes a New City trip and a trip to a California vineyard.
