Connecticut Epilepsy Advocate & the American Red Cross Blood Drive

The Connecticut Epilepsy Advocate and the American Red

Cross are proud to announce that for the first time ever, we will join together in a coordinated effort to help save lives.

The blood drive will take place on Friday, November 22, 2013 at St. Agnes Church on 400 Merwin Avenue in Milford Connecticut.  It will run from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Please click on the MapQuest link for directions: www.mapquest.com
The Red Cross looks forward to welcoming hundreds of blood donors each day along with family and friends to participate in a chance to make a difference in the lives of others by donating blood before the holiday weekend. Our goal is to have one hundred fifty people donating blood on Friday, November 22, 2013.
Please join us and tell all you know to do the same. Please make an appointment to donate blood today.

People have asked: “Can people with Epilepsy give blood?” Believe it or not some of us can. The way you can find out is to check with your doctor first, and if you are given the OK to do so, contact the American Red Cross at the special number: (866) 236-3276
They will let you know who can or cannot donate blood regardless of the medical condition you may have.  You will be asked a series of questions and you will find out in a matter of minutes if you can. If you are able to do so just go to their web site and set an appointment. If you are one of the many who cannot donate blood please ask every family member and friend who can to do so.
Please remember: "The need is constant. The gratification is instant. Give Blood." (TM)
