Winter Storm Watch Alert in Effect

Just when we thought it was over, Mother Nature plans to play an April Fool's Joke on us by dumping up to 8-inches of heavy, wet snow late tonight into Friday morning.

A winter storm watch remains in effect from late Thursday night through Friday morning. Heavy snow is forecast with accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Northerly winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Heavy snow could lead to travel issues for the Friday morning commute as untreated surfaces will be slippery and visibility will be poor at times. The snow also could be wet and heavy presenting problems for tree branches and power lines as well as for snow removal.

A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
