Orange's Veteran's Day Celebration

Images from Sunday's ceremony at High Plains Community Center.

Veterans don't rest in their service, and so Orange couldn't rest on Veteran's Day. The town honored vets with a ceremony outside High Plains Community Center Sunday morning at 11 a.m.

It's been a long week for the town -- as First Selectman James Zeoli said in his address, he identified with New Jersey governor Chris Christie, who joked that the only thing left to hit his area was locusts.

Zeoli read the names of Orange residents who had served in the military, and the ceremony concluded with a laying of a wreath at the base of the flagpole outside the center.
