Orange Police Blotter: Three Arrests

Arrests include offering home improvement without registration.

August 1, 6:25 p.m.

When Manchester Police arrested a Wallingford man on an unrelated matter, they learned he was reportedly hired by an Orange resident for home repair, but never performed the repairs. He is also not a licensed or registered contractor. Orange Police served Richard Castaldi, 30, with a warrant. He was charged with 5th Degree Larceny and Offering Home Improvement without Registration, and released after posting $750 bond.

Officers stopped Marcus Bailey, 24, of New Haven, for speeding on Route 34. They learned Bailey was wanted by the New Haven Police Department on multiple charges, including possession of marijuana. He was taken into custody and charged.

Merri Middlemass, 52, of Stratford, turned herself in at Orange Police Headquarters after learning of a warrant for her arrest over a probation violation. Officers learned of three other warrants from Monroe and Westport. After the warrants were served, Middlemass posted bond and was released.
