Wow, a whole $13.28 per hour (on a part-time basis, no less) for a job where the Town really wants the applicant to have a master's degree. A little math here....$13.28/hr x 29.5 hours per week x 52 weeks per year = $20,371.52 per year. Even with the lesser requirement of a bachelor's degree, $13.28/hr is laughable.

"My mother was the kids librarian for a lot of years - the pay has always been lousy. It is a calling, not only a job" — Phil White "It's not so bad if you have been laid off from somewhere due to budget cuts. It also carries some limited benefits. Seven resumes in on the first day......there are people who want to work." — James M. Zeoli Comments left on the Orange Patch Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/OrangePatch

I'm shocked at the pay as well. A master's degree and you want to pay someone a wage far less than they could make waitressing at Applebee's? Come on, we need to pay people fair living wages. We hurt everyone when we pay lousy. If you make so little money that you have no expendable income, than you can't turn around and spend money in the community. It's all a domino effect.
