Check Your Tickets: $60 Million Winner Sold in New Haven County

Here are the winning Powerball numbers. Could you be the lucky one?

Check your pockets, your trash or anywhere a lotto ticket may be because a $60 million winner was sold right here in New Haven County.

CT Lottery officials announced today that a Powerball jackpot winning ticket from the June 23 drawing remains unclaimed. The winning numbers were:

1 – 3 – 41 – 44 – 53 and a Powerball of 30.

Nationwide, there were 421,685 winning tickets for the June 23, 2012 Powerball drawing; 7,953 of those winning tickets were sold right here in Connecticut — one of Connecticut’s winning tickets matched all six numbers correctly, resulting in a $60 million windfall for its lucky winner.

This latest win is the 8th Powerball jackpot won in Connecticut and ranks as the second largest prize won in CT Lottery history. The largest prize previously won in CT was a $254.2 million Powerball jackpot won in November 2011.

The CT Lottery encourages everyone to check their tickets carefully, and to sign the back of their tickets immediately, if they have not already done so, to establish ownership.

Players have 180 days from the date of drawing to claim a winning ticket.  Saturday’s ticket expires on December 20, 2012.

Overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 31.8. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot prize are 1 in 175,223,510.

Wow, this has been here for months, Patch staff are aware, and yet it's left there. I'd say Patch is part of the scam.
