Amity Job Alert: Part-Time Clerk for Schools

The school year may be winding down, but the is hiring. School officials seek a part-time insurance clerk to work in the district offices 15 hours a week. 

The candidate should be experience in accounting and bookkeeping in the health insurance field, in addition to knowledge of general accounting and payrolls. An associate’s degree in the related field is preferred, and knowledge of Excel spreadsheets with MUNIS financial account is also needed.

According to the job posting, the following tasks will be performed.

  1. Review insurance claims.
  2. Records transactions into district’s financial systems.
  3. Reconciles claims to bank transactions.
  4. Record health insurance payments to the district.
  5. Prepare required notices to participants for mailing.
  6. Analyzes claim data to project monthly and annual amounts for budgeting purposes.
  7. Prepares a variety of reports and analysis for budgeting, forecasting, other purposes. 8. Serves as a backup for Payroll Clerk.
  8. Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Administration.
