NEW SHOP IN ORANGE

"I'm Dreaming of an Orange Christmas:A CONNECTICUT OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS STORE OPENS FOR THE HOLIDAYS IN ORANGE For Immediate Release: Harkening back to the days when there was a neighborhood mom & pop Christmas shop in every New England town and villageE, a new "old-fashioned" holiday-themed store has opened in Orange, CT, appropriately titled "Christmas Village." "Christmas Village" is located on the corner of the 555 Boston Post Road strip mall in Orange inside the old Bed City location next to Andini's Restaurant and across from Trader Joe's. It features not only Christmas trees, but endless decorations, ornaments and accoutrements. Much of the inventory includes rarer, no-longer-otherwise-available licensed ornaments and products, including Elvis Presley, I Love Lucy and cartoon characters. There is also a section of Hannukkah, Judaica and other seasonal items available. For record collectors, there is even a selection of long out-of-print holiday music on sale. Speaking of music, "Christmas Village," staffed by many of the same friendly workers at the Halloween Zone seasonal store, programs the music so that there's holiday music from the good 'ol days right up through current standards, all adding to the ambiance of the shopping experience. Open now through New Year's, the family-owned business will take costumers and browsers back to a time when life was a little less hectic, when the holiday season was more about family traditions and less about marketing, and when kids of all ages believed in Santa Claus. Best of all for bargain hunters, there are daily specials and discounted items. Store hours are 10 A.M. - 9 P.M. Monday-Saturday, 11 A.M. - 7 P.M. Sunday.  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Orange at 555 Boston Post Road. store: (203) 553-9281
