Bertucci's is located at 550 Boston Post Road they are known for their inovative fresh brick oven pizza and their traditional Italian deshes.
I was accompanied on this trip by editor Terri Miles. Upon entering, the server greeted us and brought us to the table where she very quickly brought over some olive oil with spices for dipping the bread. No bread, she explained that there was a fresh batch about to come out of the oven and would bring them promptly. It was worth the wait, there were 4 dinner rolls in a basket with crunchy crusts and very light inside. The oil and spices went well with them.
We ordered light, a little pasta and pizza.
I chose from the Pasta Selections - Shrimp Rossini - Tender shrimp blended with tomatoes and cream, capers and a hint of hot pepper. Tossed with spaghetti. The Shrimp still had that litle crunch, very nicely prepared. The spaghetti was al dente and the sauce was a true delight. Very light, it complemented the dish well and the hint of hot pepper was a hint, just enough to let you know that it was there, but not overpowering at all. A wonderful dish.
Terri chose from the Artisan Brick Oven Selections - Italia Davide - Roasted zucchini and fresh mozzarella with roasted tomato sauce. This was a little different. The combination was wonderful together. The pizza had a very thin crust and not a lot of rim, more pizza to enjoy. The zucchini was tender and very fresh as was the mozzarella. The roasted tomato sauce gave the pizza a very nice flavor. This was definately different, but very good.
This was a very good experience and the food was reasonably priced. Good value for the money.
