The Southern Connecticut Gas Company (SCG) is hiring a Drafting Specialist to prepare construction drawings for new facilities and maintain permanent maps and records in a computer-aided environment.

A technical school certification in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) or equivalent work experience is required. Applicants should also have knowledge of general engineering principles and a valid Connecticut driver’s license.

Judicial Marshal Trainee

Judicial branches statewide are looking for applicants to fill entry-level Judicial Marshal positions. Candidates will have to pass a physical fitness test, pre-employment physical, drug screening and criminal records and general background check.

Selected candidates will go through a 15-week academy, where they will learn handcuffing, use of defensive spray and baton, CPR, First Aid, prisoner management and other skills relevant to the care and custody of prisoners as well as the safety and security of staff and users of the courts.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older. Military experience or a demonstrated interest in criminal justice is desirable.
