Exploring Entrepreneurship in Orange

Call in your reservations for this special workshop on Feb. 8.

On Tuesday, Feb. 8, The Orange Economic Development Corporation (OEDC), working in partnership with the Town of Orange and WBDC (Women’s Business Development Council) will present the third installment of a four-part workshop designed to support the Entrepreneurial Spirit of area residents.

The WBDC will conduct the workshop entitled, “The New Economy:  Business Ownership Options.”   In the new and changing economic environment, more individuals are looking for innovative opportunities.  A panel of three professionals from varied business categories will discuss options for: starting a business from scratch, buying a franchise, or opening a business under a corporate umbrella. Participants will gain valuable insight into all three options.

Funding for this activity has been made available from the OEDC.  Armand Cantafio, Chairman of the Orange Economic Development Commission said, “The commission is pleased to be able to support this endeavor.  Starting a business is a very exciting yet daunting experience.  We recognize that individuals interested in starting up their own business have a lot of questions, which is why we sought to align ourselves with one of Connecticut’s premier business development organizations.”
