This week, I was accompanied by Ken Lenz, Attorney and secretary for the Orange Lions Club. We went in for lunch to try their sushi and sashimi.
We both had the Miso soup for starters. It came piping hot and was light and tasty and less salty than most I have had. The seaweed was cut into small pieces which made it very easy to eat. With it came our salads which were exceptionally fresh and crisp. The Ginger dressing was really mild and added a nice flavor. Rating 9
We then had the Shrimp and Vegetable Tempora which was fantastic. the coating was light and delicate and it wasn't at all greasy. The vegetables also were nicely cooked and the texture was perfect. Rating 9.
Ken had the Sushi Combination, which consisted of 6 pieces of sushi and a Californian Roll. His assessment was very fresh as was the wasabi and ginger.
I got the Sushi and Sashimi Combination, which included 3 pieces of Sushi, 6 pieces of Sashimi and a spicy salmon roll. All were truly fresh. Rating 9.
The service was exceptional, the waitress came over and talked for a little while ensuring that everything was good and when she saw my appetite, sugggested that I attempted the Sushi challenge which consists of eating 10 rolls in an hour. That's 80 pieces. Many have tried and no one has succeeded. Rating 10.
Overall rating 9.25
