Why Do They Rehearse so Much?

Under the watchful eye and direction of Rob and Andrea Kennedy and Musical Director Peter Randazzo, the principal actors and chorus knew what they were getting into when they auditioned for "Chicago" last year.

The Amity High School Theater Department is an award-winning entity that is a force to be reckoned with once it starts a project.

The students work hard to give their very best and never complain about the long hours. Homework gets done in the auditorium or backstage and after the final curtain falls there are no regrets.

Here is a minute from last week's rehearsal of the duet "My Own Best Friend" between Kim Simon (Velma Kelly) and Lauren Larkin (Roxy Hart). We did not edit the video to show that the things you see on stage during actual performances don't always go as smoothly in early rehearsals.
